Zac Thompson was a year six pupil of Pembroke Dock Community School, who passed away on February 10, 2023, after drowning in the sea.

Zac, 11, who hailed from Pembrokeshire, encountered trouble when he was swimming at the beach located at West Angle Bay.
“He had a “huge zest for life”, and he “was a popular and much-loved character”, his school had said in a tribute statement.

Zac, was talented in both mathematics and the game of cricket. He had a funny personality and was full of life.

Dyfed-Powys Police reported that Zac was airlifted to the hospital after they got a distress call.
Zac later passed away at the hospital.
Zac’s mum Carli Newell wrote about her son in a statement:
“Without a doubt Zac was a complete one of a kind. He was one of those special people that if your truly lucky you will get to experience them in your life.
“Zac was funny, cheeky, kind, caring, courageous and a big ball of fun with mischief running through his bones”, she said.
“His sparkly bright blue eyes, his big cheeky smile and his infectious spirit made everyone instantly fall in love with him.
“He had a zest for life like I’ve never known before”, she added.
