Roy Jones is a retired professional boxer from the United States with dual citizenship in the United States and Russia.

From 1989 to 2018, he boxed and held multiple world championships in four weight classes, including titles at middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight.
He is the only boxer in history to begin his professional career at light middleweight and go on to win a heavyweight title.
As an amateur, he represented the United States at the 1988 Summer Olympics, earning a silver medal in the light middleweight category after one of the most contentious decisions in boxing history.
