“Kingston Town” was released in 1970 by Lord Creator as a single on producer Clancy Eccles’ Clandisc label.
It was also recorded in 1989 by reggae group UB40 and was released as the second single from their album Labour of Love II, reaching number four on the UK Singles Chart and number one in France and the Netherlands.

After Kingston Town, Lord Creator “disappeared” from the music industry.

Yet, in 1976, he recorded “Big Pussy Sally,” a no-holds-barred, free-spirited song for Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry in the Black Ark studio, on the same tape as Fay Bennett’s similarly vulgar and light-hearted “Big Cocky Wally.”
Both songs were released in the UK on two different Island Records singles, both on the B-side and accompanied by two different Upsetters dubs.
Lord Creator’s career was revived in 1989 after the British band UB40 produced a cover version of “Kingston Town.” He then performed in oldies shows in Jamaica and toured Japan.
