Travis Tritt is an American country music singer and songwriter. Between 1989 and 1999, he was signed to Warner Bros. Records, where he released seven studio albums and a greatest hits collection.

He released three studio albums on Columbia Records and one on the now-defunct Category 5 Records in the 2000s.

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has certified seven of his albums (including the Greatest Hits) as platinum or higher; the highest-certified is 1991’s It’s All About to Change, which is triple-platinum.

He has four Country Music Association awards and has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1992.

TravisTritt did not release any new music for 14 years. During a podcast appearance, in 2021, on The Adam Carolla Show, Travis Tritt discussed why he waited 14 years to release another studio album.

Tritt explained on the podcast. “And the reason for that is – it wasn’t because I was lazy – it’s because about 12 years ago I made a conscious decision that I wanted to focus on just live performance.”
