Who Is Nathan Cleary?

Nathan Cleary is a rugby league football halfback who plays for the Penrith Panthers in the NRL and Australia.

Born on November 14, 1997, in Sydney, Australia, Cleary began with the Penrith Panthers in 2016 and later represented City NSW and NSW Blues in State of Origin.

Cleary is best known for his goalkicking, his game playing prowess and winning the Clive Churchill Medal in 2021.

While in Penrith Club, Cleary played in the Harold Matthews Cup and S. G. Ball Cup, where he served as captain in 2015.

Cleary playied 17 games for the club, and won the 2021 and 2022 NRL Grand Finals.

He also played for Australia in their 2021 Rugby League World Cup, which they won over Samoa.

Clearly has earned many individual honours including the Ben Alexander Rookie of the Year (2016), Penrith Panthers Members’ Player of the Year (2016, 2020), RLPA Halfback of the Year (2020, 2021), and Dally M Halfback of the Year (2020, 2021).
