Why is Tess Daly called Tess?

Born on March 29, 1969, Helen Elizabeth “Tess” Daly is an English television host.

From 2004 to 2013, she co-hosted the BBC One celebrity dance competition Strictly Come Dance; since 2014, she has served as the program’s primary host.

While awaiting her sister in Manchester, Daly was observed outside a McDonald’s.

Daly was requested to change her name since there was another model by the name of “Helen Daly” when she started her modeling career.

Daly’s agent persuaded Nastassja Kinski to change her name to “Tess” because he was in love with the actress from the Tess movie.

Why is Tess Daly called Tess?

On the recommendation of her agency, she changed her name to “Tess.”

She subsequently said that this was done because her agent was motivated by the Nastassja Kinski film of the same name.

\She became Tess then and hasn’t turned around since. Although she has always gone by the name Tess, she has never formally changed it.
