Trump has refuted the allegations.

Cohen sought mercy before his sentence, claiming that he had completely cooperated with prosecutors, including the special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into suspected Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Michael Cohen, the former personal lawyer and fixer for former US President Donald Trump, was released from federal prison on Monday, April 3, 2023.

After serving a three-year term for campaign finance violations and other offenses.

Cohen told reporters outside the U.S. District Court in Manhattan that he planned to help with law enforcement to “guarantee that others are held accountable for their filthy crimes and no one is ever regarded to be above the law.”
