Will Clark Johnson star in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’?

American-Canadian actor, Clark Johnson will reportedly play a very integral role in Marvel’s upcoming series Daredevil: Born Again. According to sources, he will recur and direct two episodes of the series.

Some sources claim that he will play the role of Cherry in the series, however, not much details about his character has been revealed yet.

Other cast members of the series include Charlie Cox, Margarita Levieva, Arty Forushan, Sandrine Holt, Michael Gandolfini, and more. It was also reported that Jon Bernthal will return as Punisher.

Born on September 10, 1954, Clark Johnson started his career in the movie industry while doing special effects on The Dead Zone by David Cronenberg.

He started acting in 1981 when he appeared in feature films like Killing ’em Softly, Colors, Wild Thing, Adventures in Babysitting, Nowhere to Hide, and more. He also appeared in a few tv shows during that period. He starred in The Littlest Hobo, Night Heat, Hot Shots, The Women of Brewster Place, and more.

In 1993, Johnson became part of the original cast of the tv series, Homicide: Life on the Street, playing the role of Detective Meldrick Lewis for all seven seasons and the reunion movie. He also directed several episodes of the show.

According to the writer and producer of the show, James Yoshimura, most of the lines and jokes made by Johnson’s character were off-script and were made by the actor.

Johnson also worked on the popular tv series The Wire with writer, David Simon. He directed the pilot episode The Target, the second and fifth first-season episodes, and the series finale.

He also starred in the 2013 Amazon series Alpha House as Sen, Robert Bettencourt. He also directed the season finale for the show’s first season and spent the summer of 2013 filming season two.

Some of his directing credits include The Sentinel, S.W.A.T, Third Watch, Sleeper Cell, and more.
