Pamela Hart is well known as the wife of singer William Hart.

Pamela Hart is an American Singer.

She and William Hart married in 1970 and were together until his death.

Pamela Hart and William Hart had three children; Al Hadi, Yusuf Ali, and William (Champ) Romance.

William Hart Delfonics

William Hart was the lead singer of the Philly Soul group the Delfonics.

The Hart brothers co-founded the group (originally called The Orphonics) in Philadelphia in the mid-1960s and were subsequently joined by singers Major Harris and Randy Cain.

William Hart was the chief songwriter of the group and had one of the sweetest falsettos in Philadelphia-based soul music in the late 1960s and 1970s.

His superb tones were demonstrated in the group’s classic hits “La-La Means I Love You” (1968) and “Didn’t I Blow Your Mind This Time” (1969).

The Delfonics signed with local label Cameo-Parkway, where they first linked up with Bell, though they were shuffled over to Philly Groove Records immediately after Cameo-Parkway crumpled in 1967. The Debut album La La Means I Love You was released in 1968, spawning a trio of hits in the title track, “I’m Sorry” (No. 42) and “Break Your Promise” (No. 35).

William Hart, Wilbert Hart and Randy Cain won a Grammy Award for best R&B performance for their song, “Didn’t I (Blow Your Mind This Time)”, at the 13th Annual Grammy Awards.

In 1995, William Hart, Wilbert Hart, Randy Cain and Major Harris were inducted as The Delfonics into the Philadelphia Music Alliance Walk of Fame.

In 2006, William Hart, Wilbert Hart and Randy Cain received the Rhythm and Blues Pioneer Award.

William and Wil Hart were honored with, Lifetime Achievement Awards and Major Harris and Randy Cain received Posthumous Awards at Resorts Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey in 2013.

The Delfonics were inducted into the National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame Class of 2014.

William Hart died on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at age 77 at a Philadelphia hospital following complications from surgery.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Hart; sons, Al Hadi, Yusuf Ali, and William (Champ) Romance; 11 grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
