The Estée Lauder Companies, one of the top producers of skin care, cosmetics, fragrance, and hair care products worldwide, is led by billionaire American businessman William Philip Lauder (born April 11, 1960). Lauder also serves as executive chairman of the company. As regional marketing director of Clinique USA in the New York Metropolitan Area, Lauder joined The Estée Lauder Company in 1986.

Lauder then worked for Prescriptives for two years as the field sales manager. He successfully finished the Macy’s executive training program in New York City before joining The Estée Lauder Company, and upon the store’s inauguration in September 1985, he was promoted to associate merchandising manager of the New York Division/Dallas location. Lauder serves on the boards of trustees for the Trinity School in New York City and the University of Pennsylvania.
