Winner of 2024 Copa America to Receive $16 Million

Apart from the satisfaction and honor of achieving the title of the best team on the continent, the winner of the 2024 Copa America will earn $16 million in prize money.

This monetary incentive is included in a total prize pool of $72 million allocated by the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) among the 16 teams participating in the tournament.

Below is a breakdown of the prize money distribution:

Participation Reward: Each of the 16 teams will receive $2 million simply for competing in the tournament. This initial payout helps ensure that all teams have a financial base to support their efforts and cover some of the costs associated with participation.

Advancement Rewards: As teams progress through the tournament, the prize money increases. This structure incentivizes teams to strive for higher placements and perform well in each stage of the competition.

Semi-Finalists and Beyond:

Fourth Place: The team finishing fourth, losing the third-place match, will earn $4 million.

Third Place: The winner of the third-place match will take home $5 million.

Runner-Up: The team finishing second will receive $7 million.

Champion: The ultimate winner of the Copa America 2024 will secure a substantial $16 million prize.

The 48th edition of the tournament will take place from June 20 to July 14 in the United States.
