Youtuber Melanie Ham Cause Of Death Revealed

Crafting YouTuber Melanie Ham, who regularly shared about her life with a cancer diagnosis, died on January 12, 2022.

Melanie Ham had amassed 810,000 YouTube subscribers prior to her death, but her content wasn’t limited to her favourite pastime of knitting, sewing and crocheting.

Melanie Ham created her YouTube channel in 2011, and since then, she has amassed more than 71 million total views across her page, with her most popular baby blanket crocheting video receiving nearly 6 million views alone.

Melanie Ham also talked about her cancer diagnosis — a type of sarcoma called epithelioid angiomyolipoma — and revealed that she had a tumour.

Epithelioid angiomyolipoma is defined as potentially malignant mesenchymal neoplasm, characterized by proliferating epithelioid cells, whereas classic angiomyolipoma, composed of fat, smooth muscle cells and dysmorphic vessels, is defined as a potentially benign.

Also, according to Hopkins Medicine, the rare cancer appears in muscles, fat and inside bones.

Melanie Ham died on Jan 12, 2022 following her long battle with epithelioid angiomyolipoma, a rare type of cancer.
