Alize Cornet was born on January 22, 1990, in Nice, France. Her parents are Patricia Cornet and Francis Cornet. She was raised alongside a brother named Sébastien Cornet. Alize Cornet made her Grand Slam singles debut at the age of 15 in the 2005 French Open after receiving a singles main-draw wildcard.
Alize Cornet won her first WTA title in Budapest. She rose into the spotlight in 2014 after defeating world No. 1, Serena Williams, on three occasions. She has had an excellent junior career where she reached a career-high combined junior ranking of world No. 8, on 11 June 2007.
