During Monday September 2022 game against the Titans, Hyde suffered a herniated disc in his neck. On a play, the safety went to tackle Tennessee wide receiver Robert Woods.

He had already been ruled out for this week’s game against Miami, but the injury was determined to be serious enough to keep him out for the rest of the season.
