The big brother Naija ‘Shine Ya Eye‘ housemates have been charged to create a “powerful and educative” campaign on mental health as their abeg task for this week.

This task is coming in following former housemate, Kayvee‘s, exit from the competition just a week after coming into the house, due to a mental health issue.
While the housemates were preparing for the task, they were called in for their diary session and it saw Maria get emotional over the task.

Biggie had asked how she was doing and she shared that, prior to the task she was okay but she’s been sad since the task, to which biggie asked what the problem was and amid tears, she shared that, she felt a personal connection to the task as her brother is diagnosed with a mental disorder called Schizophrenia.
She said, her brother was living life as a normal person before the diagnosis but he has not been the same since the illness started and it has been a blow to their family. She said, their mental health campaign task, therefore, “hit home” for her.
Biggie then, therefore, suggested they talk about something else that doesn’t involve the task.
