Denis Villeneuve Children: Meet Salome Villeneuve, Sacha Villeneuve, Achille Villeneuve 

Denis Villeneuve is a highly acclaimed Canadian film director. Denis Villeneuve is the father of three children, Salome Villeneuve, Sacha Villeneuve and Achille Villeneuve.

Salomé Villeneuve, his daughter, is also a filmmaker. Salomé Villeneuve is best known for her short film III.

The film premiered at the 2022 Venice Film Festival, where it was the only Canadian film to screen that year. It was nominated for Best Live-Action Short Drama at the 11th Canadian Screen Awards.

Salomé Villeneuve studied filmmaking at Concordia University’s Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema. She made a number of student films and worked on film crews, including the costume team for her father’s film Arrival, before releasing her first commercial release, III, in 2022.

She has stated that her father’s career, as well as the extensive exposure to the world of film that she received as a child as a result of his passion for cinema, influenced her desire to become a filmmaker, but that she did not pursue it until she realised that she needed to forge her own path as a filmmaker rather than trying to live up to the expectations set by her father’s fame.
