Gordon Edward Pinsent CC FRSC was a Canadian actor, writer, director, and singer.

He was born on July 12, 1930 in Grand Falls-Windsor, Canada.

Pinsent commenced acting in the 1940s as a stage actor. He then turned to television and later film.

With a career spanning over 60 years, he featured in more than 150 films and tv series.
